During the burst of power by Zero, Rido is injured. However, Rido goes to the forest to recuperate by sucking blood from his followers. Soon, Kaname confronts Rido. While Kaname and Rido are fighting, Zero interfers and attacks Rido with a powerful shot from his Bloody Rose. Thus, Rido is killed. During Yuki and Zero's farewell, Zero states that he will continue to kill purebloods, even Yuki, the next time Zero sees her. In the end, Kaname and Yuki leave the academy with Aidou, Akatsuki, and Ruka

Yuki and the Night Class go after Rido. There, they find themselves struggling against him. Rido talks of how he first drank the blood of Juri (Yuki's mom). After sometime, Zero makes a debut. His power bursts out, and he becomes one with his other twin, Ichiru, after being cut by the Artemis.

Zero still agonizes in silence on the ground, when Kaname suddenly appears, stating that the "knight" he has raised for so many years will soon serve its purpose. Zero is the stronger fragment of the hunter twins, and has the blood of three purebloods within him: Yuki, Kaname, and Shizuka (received through Kaname's blood). As Kaname cannot kill Rido, he knows Zero will "never betray Yuki", since Rido will come after Yuki again and again, until someone dies. Ichiru then appears, and shoots Zero with the Bloody Rose. Many flashbacks are shown, of Ichiru and Zero as loving twins, and also of Shizuka killing their parents. Ichiru, injuried earlier by attempting to kill Rido, begs Zero to drink his blood so that they can "become one". After a long consideration, Zero drains Ichiru of his life's blood and staggers out of the cell he is in. Shiki and Rima finally woke up.

Yuki sees the sun for the first time with her vampire eyes, and walks back to the building she was in with Aidou. The Day Class students are rounded up by Yagari and the Chairman, while various Day Class students who are alone are attacked by Rido's servants. However, they are always saved in the nick of time by the Night Class students, who have come to fight. Yori, Yuki's friend, also comes very closely to death, but is saved by Aidou. When Yuki tries to defend Yori, her Artemis suddenly shocks her. Yori also, surpringly, accepts Yuki for who she is - a vampire. Yuki begins to have dreams of Shizuka back in her room, and when is awakened by Kaname, begs to stay behind and protect the people she loves. However, Kaname refuses, not wanting him and Yuki to suffer anymore after 10 years, being seperated. As the episode closes, Yuki is shown holding the gun that Zero had given her to kill him.

Episode 9 of Michiko to Hatchin is all about our little Hatchin who decided to leave behind Michiko after episode 8 and run away from her problems she was having. Hatchin heard about a virgin Maria statue that cries blood and if you make a wish there it will come true, so she spent her last money on some silly map that shows her how to get there. But in the end she was just ripped off loosing the last of her cash she could have used on food and other necessities. Guess that would not have happened if Michiko was still around to help her.

Zero comes back while Yuki was guarding for the moon dorm. Yuki then falls and is caught by Zero mistaking him with Kaname. Later on, while Yuki and Zero were guarding, Yuki started a conversation with Zero about her blood. Zero got mad at Yuki, so he started walking away. Yuki got worried so she followed him.Zero was about to talk to Yuki but stopped because the headmaster reported that Maria Kurenai had woken. She tells Zero the truth about the mastermind of the deaths of his parents who's also the enemy of the pure bloods. After they met, Yuki was asked to leave and then she jumped over the fence to the outer area of the school. Yuki then got ambushed by a vampire from the senate. Zero comes to Yuki and kills the vampire who was trying to hurt Yuki. After that vampire dies, more vampires from the vampire senate came. Then the Moon Dorm students came, asked by Kuran Kaname to get rid of the vampires from the senate. The Moon Dorm students killed one of them. Kaname asked one of them what they were doing at Cross Academy. One of the vampires answered that it was because the Vampire Council had ordered them. Kaname then badly hurt him and he told the other vampires to leave. Once they left, Kaname went over to Yuki and asked her if she was okay, and was about to touch her face, but she backed away. Yuki then told Kaname that she didn't want to be treated like a child and won't speak to him until he truly admits that Zero is innocent. Later on, Zero was about to go in the shower when he saw Yuki's towel, so he stopped. He then went to the couch, lied down, and then had a dream of Shizuka Hio with blood, which he thought he killed her.Yuki was sitting in front of Zero, drying her hair with her towel, so she was puzzled when Zero said her name. Then all of a sudden, Zero awoke, hugged Yuki, and tried to kiss her, but doesn't. Later, the chairman got a letter from the Hunter Committee in regards to Zero.

After Jun'ichi came back home after meeting his parents, Yuuhi was so angry over Jun'ichi lying to her that she decided to break up with him and leave the house that night. The next day, Minato left the house as well in order for Jun'ichi to make a decision between her and Yuuhi. When Jun'ichi got back home from school, he started thinking about the moment Minato came back from training and decided to take care of him a few years ago. Mr. Sugishita suddenly appeared to tell Jun'ichi to become a man and be true to himself, after taking him to the beach. Meanwhile, Yuuhi decided to stay at Karen's place and Minato stayed with Nagomi. When Jun'ichi got back to the house, he felt lonely and thought about his past and the girl he loves most, by the help of an imaginery Geno-killer, his past self before Minato arrived. Jun'ichi realised that he cannot live without Minato and will always love her most. The next day after school, Jun'ichi told Minato to return home as he needs her and he loves her. It was also hinted during the ending that Minato and Junichi may be not blood related by Junichi's parents, however regardless of whatever the truth really is, Jun'ichi's parents approved of their relationship.

Rukia has accepted her execution, and gives a request to General Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai to send Ichigo and his friends home after her execution. The sōkyoku, a massive halberd that transforms into a phoenix, is the execution method. However, Ichigo steps forward and stops the sōkyoku with his sword, and sympathetic captains Shunsui Kyōraku and Jūshirō Ukitake destroy the sōkyoku. As Renji arrives to take away Rukia, Ichigo defeats three pursuing lieutenants with his bare hands, and turns to face Byakuya.

Tieria and Setsuna go undercover to infiltrate a party with A-LAWs and Earth Federation officials, where Tieria meets with Ribbons Almark, who reveals that according to Aeolia's plan, Tieria should have died with the rest of Celestial Being four years ago. Refusing an offer to join the Innovators, Tieria and Setsuna, who has been exposed to Louise as a member of Celestial Being by Billy, escape in their Gundams, but then encounter Ali Al-Saachez.

So after being side tracked in the last episode Michiko and Hatchin heads to the city of Osso as rumors have it that Satoshi is in the city, the one person that Hatchin wants to meet. But it seems that Hatchin is unhappy with the way Michiko does things, and as always this leads to a fight and screaming match between the two of them. After booking in at a local hotel Michiko decides to leave Hatchin behind and go look for clues to find out the whereabouts of Satoshi, as she leaves she tells Hatchin not to go outside not like she will listen to Michiko anyway.
